Minnie Mouse First Birthday Party
We celebrated our youngest’s first birthday last weekend. In Typically Twitterpated fashion, we infused the party with our love of Disney.

Our Disney Side
The party celebrated the beginning of spring and our girl’s love of Minnie Mouse. For our Minnie Mouse first birthday party, we wanted to make sure we incorporated the start of spring. The pink flowers in the pot are Gerbera daisies. The posters came from Amazon. We framed them specifically for the party, but will move into her room.
We had pink tulips to truly welcome spring. Even the globe got a Minnie Mouse first birthday party upgrade!
The Minnie Mouse birthday banner is incredibly festive, and best of all you can buy it from Amazon

We picked up some spring balloons for the party. We also got the poster of Minnie and Mickey Mouse to add some flair.
Our first birthday girl was a blur of activity on her day! The rainbow birthday tutu was a hit.
Of course, we celebrated with a Minnie Mouse smash cake and larger cake for the party guests. This was chocolate cake with vanilla bean Swiss meringue buttercream frosting.
The fabulous Curvy Confections created the delicious and creative cakes.
We even ordered an outfit change for the cake smash. The t-shirt is sparkly, matches the birthday tutu and says “I’m this many”.
There’s something so special about the cake smash. These little people have not had sugar before and are given a ridiculously giant cake to devour in front of a crowd. My little person was not quite sure about what to do first.
Thankfully, she figured it out.
Finally, we set up her present area. She spent the entire time crawling around and checking out her goods. Our Minnie Mouse first birthday party was a smash!
We are a lucky, twitterpated family!
Autism side note: Our son with autism had some struggles related to the crowds and the noise. This is a huge growing process for him, and us, as we navigate milestones. If you have any advice related to autism and birthday parties, please leave it in the comments.
