Planning for World of Avatar
We are eagerly awaiting the opening of Pandora- World of Avatar next month. Have you been living in a cave? Avatar is a James Cameron movie and Walt Disney World is creating a land dedicated to it in Animal Kingdom.
Curious about what to expect? Check out the sneak peek.
The land opens on May 27th, so many people are now within their Fastpass+ snagging window. We have been eagerly planning for World of Avatar. I was able to get Na’ vi River Journey on the first day of our vacation.
You can not choose both on the same day. On a later day, I was able to choose Avatar Flight of Passage. But, sniffle. I will have to stagger my trips to be able to ride both big ticket rides.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be staying open beyond it’s usual close time of 8pm until 11pm from May 27 to July 4, 2017. That should give fun-seekers plenty of time to explore the new attractions. However, I was ecstatic to see a mailer come regarding our upcoming trip.
“As a guest of a select Walt Disney World resort hotel, you may explore Pandora- the World of Avatar beyond regular park hours.”
What: Nightly Extra Magic Hours
Where: Only in Pandora- The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park
When: 11pm-1am nightly May 27 to July 4, 2017
Who: Exclusively for Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels
How: Valid theme park admission and resort ID required
Why: These very special evening hours will give you and your family the best opportunity to enjoy everything Pandora- The World of Avatar has to offer.
Are you planning for World of Avatar? We will be there shortly after opening and I plan to post about it on all my social media sites: make sure to subscribe to the blog.
We will be providing videos, photos, and information to help prepare your child with autism or sensory issues for Pandora. Be on the lookout for when we return. Headed there soon?
