Disney Vacation Club Saratoga Springs Resort is divided into several clusters of villas that contain their own amenities: the Grandstand, the Springs, the Carousel, the Paddock, and Congress Park.

The main action: the Carriage House, restaurants, general store, spa and High Rock Spring Pool, are located in the Springs . There are four swimming pools total.  However, each is a different experience.  This resort features bus transportation to all theme parks, a walking path and boat transportation to Disney Springs.

The access to pools and Disney Springs were important since we are abstaining from the theme parks this trip.  We are here for a quick spring break trip.

Check-in:

Check-in time is at 4pm. You check-in at the Carriage house. There are greeters by the door to direct you once you arrive.

Curious about the Carriage House? Here’s a video leading up and through the Carriage House.

You can check-in online before setting foot on Walt Disney World Resort grounds. This lets you put in room requests, attach a credit card to the room, and put in the time you will be arriving.

They text you when the room is ready.  However, I never received a text. At 4pm, I went to the Carriage House to get our magic bands and asked if the room was ready. I caution you to check if you are approaching check-in time and have not received a text yet.

The Paddock Villas

Luckily, the Paddock is in a decent location. There is a pool that competes closely with the main feature pool, and a grill with extended hours and delicious food nearby.  It’s also close to the walkway to Disney Springs. The circled area is our room in building 61.

We stayed in a one bedroom. This has a king size bed, a full kitchen with appliances and utensils, and a fold out sofa.  There is a pack n play in the closet, along with an ironing board.  The room has decor like turn of the century Saratoga Springs, New York with a focus on horse racing.

The Paddock Pool

The pool area has been recently refurbished.  The slide is 146-feet-long and resembles a water tower.  It has the highest slide in all the resorts.  It sends you into a pool with a zero-entry on the far side.  When you’ve had enough activity, relax in a horseshoe-shaped whirlpool spa.

The children’s play area is for children under 48 inches. It features two slides, water canons, dumping buckets and sprinklers. Here’s a video of the entire children’s play area:

The Paddock Grill

There is a pool side grill with adult and non-alcoholic beverages, sandwiches, and snacks. The grill’s hours are 7am to 9pm.  Also, you can fill up refillable mugs.

They accommodated our gluten-free Diet.  We were able to get a variety of options.  Even if they couldn’t,  there’s always Mickey Bars!

You order at the window and are given a flag to put by your chair.  They will bring food out to you, while you wait pool side.  We have enjoyed our stay at Saratoga Springs Resort, thus far.

Finally, this is not the feature pool and we still had a blast on our first day.  We played until things wrapped up for the day.
