I love celebrating my birthday at Walt Disney World Resort. Much of Disney World’s birthday magic comes from pixie dusting by cast members (and even other guests). However, I wanted to see if you could score free stuff at Disney World on your birthday. Unfortunately, Disney World birthday freebies are few and far between- but they are available (and plentiful if you venture to Disney Springs!)
Let’s get the most important question out of the way when spending your birthday at Disney World.
Does Disney World give you free admission on your birthday?
No, you do not get free entry to Walt Disney World on your birthday. While many people want to know if Disney World is free on your birthday, there are no free or discounted Disney birthday admission perks.
Does Disney do Anything Special for your Birthday?
There are several ways to increase your chances of receiving a Disney World birthday freebie.
- Tell a cast member or travel agent when booking your vacation. If your Disney World vacation planner or travel agent notes it in the reservation, you will likely encounter a few magical touches to help you celebrate your birthday.
- Pick up a Celebration button ASAP to avoid missing out. You can pick up a “Happy Birthday” pin at Guest Relations or the front desk of Walt Disney World Resorts. You may find yourself getting free dessert or other treats throughout your day. Just be careful- if you’re anything like me, you’ll stab yourself a few times. I am always cautious not to poke my children.
- Share with your server. When you eat, please notify the cast member while you are seated and during meals. However, there are ways to take advantage of birthday freebies.
What restaurants in Walt Disney World offer a free birthday treat?
We all know that nothing in Walt Disney World is truly free (except these ten activities). However, these birthday freebies may help ease the burden on your wallet during those expensive Disney trips. Make sure to sign up for these restaurant email lists and clubs early (at least 30 days prior) to get your birthday coupons in time. Most of these Disney Springs birthday freebies will help you have the best Disney day ever.
Summer House on the Lake (Disney Springs)
Since the closure of Sprinkles, our new favorite “birthday magic” spot in Disney Springs is Summer House on the Lake.
- The Perk: If you are dining in, let your server know you are celebrating! They are famous for their “Cookie Bar” and often gift the birthday guest with an oversized, warm chocolate chip cookie and a candle.
- Sensory Win: This restaurant is bright, airy, and much quieter than the nearby themed dining—perfect for a peaceful birthday treat.
The Earl of Sandwich (Disney Springs)
Earl of Sandwich has some of the best sandwiches on the planet. Better yet, did you know you can enjoy a free sandwich for your birthday? If you sign up for the eClub here, you will receive a special welcome and birthday gift. A few days before your birthday, you will receive an email with a coupon for a free sandwich. The coupon is good for 30 days from the date you receive it (so you don’t even have to use it on your birthday).
To save extra money, have one person purchase the birthday sandwich and have someone else order the rest of the food, allowing you to take advantage of a 10% discount (available to AAA members, Disney Vacation Club members, and Annual Passholders). You can’t combine deals with the coupon, so it’s only possible with separate purchases. Luckily, you can also get refillable drinks here.

Starbucks (Almost everywhere!)
Starbucks typically needs no introduction- but you can sign up for the coffee shop’s rewards program here (if you’re not already a member). To qualify, you must have a valid account and have made a star-earning purchase before your birthday. While you can accumulate stars at all of the Disney World Starbucks locations, you can only redeem your birthday drink at the two Disney Springs locations.

- The Perk: You get a free birthday pretzel (original or cinnamon sugar).
- The Catch: You must have made at least one purchase using the app in the last 12 months to qualify for the birthday freebie, so scan your app for a snack early in your trip!
Wetzel’s Pretzels (Disney Springs)
Wetzel’s Pretzels makes the perfect shareable snack. They have you covered whether you’re looking for sweet or savory pretzels. If it’s your birthday, you can get a free pretzel by downloading the app.
Landry’s Restaurants (Animal Kingdom & Disney Springs)
Landry’s restaurant group has a rewards club that you can join here for $25. After purchasing a membership, you register your account and receive a $25 welcome reward. You will receive a $25 birthday reward during your birthday month. You can also accrue points as you eat at Landry’s restaurants. This restaurant group owns a lot of restaurants in Walt Disney World, such as :
- Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs
- T-Rex in Disney Springs
- Yak & Yeti’s in Animal Kingdom
Do Any Stores Offer Free Birthday Goodies in Walt Disney World?
Anthropologie (Disney Springs): If you’ve joined their program, Anthroperks, you will receive a birthday treat.
Sephora (Disney Springs): If you are a “Beauty Insider” (it’s free to join), you can pick up a free birthday gift set during your birthday month at the Disney Springs Sephora.
- The Perk: In 2026, the gifts include sets from cult-favorite brands like Glossier, Tower 28, and Dr. Dennis Gross.
- Sensory Note: This is a “no-pressure” freebie. You just walk to the counter, show your app, and pick your mini-set. It’s a great way to get a high-quality “prize” without the loud singing or crowds of a restaurant.
What other free stuff can I get at Disney World on my Birthday?
If you want to “treat yourself” but don’t care if it’s related to your birthday, consider joining Chicken Guy’s Sauce Squad for free sauce or hitting the Ghirardelli store for a chocolate square.
Joffrey’s coffee is available throughout Disney World and features specialty coffees (Kona and Riviera each have unique blends). Sign up, and you will get 25% off your first order when you head home. They sometimes offer free coffee travel mugs or bags of coffee during promotions.
I used to recommend Shula’s for a birthday discount. However, Shula’s Steak House at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort closed its doors in 2025. It is being replaced by Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina.
