Disney has teased that World Showcase Adventure may return in some form, and I wonder if flip phones will be back to trigger clues. A girl can dream!

- Festival Scavenger Hunts: Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration or Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak (uses physical maps and stickers instead of screen time!).

World Showcase Adventure: A Sensory Delight
The history of this attraction is well documented (from Kim Possible to Phineas & Ferb-themed), but it remains one of the best interactive ways to explore the park in 2026. Regardless of iteration, when you’re locating singing steins in Germany, reading hidden messages in Mexico, or retrieving a sample of tea in the UK, you are undoubtedly saving the world.
What is DuckTales World Showcase Adventure?
Despite multiple delays, DuckTales World Showcase Adventure finally opened in Epcot on December 16, 2022, following the pandemic.
Prepare to explore exotic destinations, mysteries, and priceless treasures. Team up with Scrooge McDuck, Launchpad, Webby, Donald, Huey, Dewey, and Louie as they travel around the Epcot World Showcase, searching for artifacts.
Scrooge McDuck, his nephews, and friends search for the world’s precious ancient artifacts on a quacky quest to find the priceless seven lost magic treasures” to return them to their rightful owners. Track clues, fight villains, and find relics while working with your loved ones. If you finish all seven adventures, you receive a finale event!

Is Epcot’s World Showcase Adventure Good for Autistic Guests?
Yes, it provides a set routine and a way for autistic guests to explore the countries in Disney World’s World Showcase. There were sometimes crowds around these attractions. My son can ignore the crowds when engrossed in the adventure game.
Other potential downsides include heat, lots of walking, and playing longer than intended. While the mechanical interactions can be loud, they are very engaging.
What was Kim Possible’s World Showcase Adventure?
Before it was Agent P’s, Kim Possible’s World Showcase Adventure issued guests flip phones, known as Kimmunicators, to talk with Wade and beat a slew of bad guys. When it closed, Agent P opened shortly after in 2018 as part of the Disney Parks Play app, and the flip-phone communicators vanished forever.
Each showcase country featured Phineas, Ferb, and Perry on vacation with their family. Many of the mechanical interactions originally carried over from Kim Possible, just like it bled into this Duck Tales iteration.
The Old World Showcase Adventures: Kim & Agent P
Interestingly, Disney has historically retired each World Showcase Adventure attraction within a few years of its last airing. Kim Possible went off the air in 2007 and closed in 2012. The Phineas & Ferb show ended in 2015 and closed in 2020. The original DuckTales ended in 1990, and the reboot ended in 2021. It’s questionable how long this experience will be around.
Kim Possible’s World Showcase Adventure Closure
Kim Possible’s World Showcase Adventure opened in January 2009 and closed all Kimmunicators (flip phones) on May 17, 2012. As much as I loved it, it was behind the times since Kim Possible ended in 2007.
Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure
Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure opened soon after Kim Possible’s closure. Phineas and Ferb went off the air in 2015, but surprisingly, Agent P lasted until February 2020.
DuckTales World Showcase Adventure was scheduled to open the following month. Then it was delayed, and DuckTales was canceled, leaving us wondering if it would ever reopen. It finally opened two years later.
A Last Note: World Showcase Adventure
Who else misses going to Germany to help Kim Possible stop Dr. Drakken? A family core memory is Perry the Platypus ziplining over buildings to thwart Dr. Doofenshmirtz in Epcot.
